Choosing an Engagement Ring

Don't know where to start? I've got your back!
Choosing an engagement ring can be a daunting prospect, but it needn't be.
Allow me to make things super easy for you...
Have you landed here because either your partner likes my aesthetic, or they have an alternative style?
Either way, you're destined to be right here, right now.
You have three main options when it comes to choosing a ring, each with a different level of commitment designed to suit your unique situation. Read on to learn more...
1. low commitment: in-stock ring or Diamond
Overview
• Recommended if you're planning a surprise proposal and feel unsure of the design your fiancé-to-be would prefer.
• In-stock rings or diamonds can be exchanged within 14 days of purchase.
Details
• When you purchase an in-stock ring or diamond, simply email me at amitymarygray@gmail.com to let me know you plan to propose, so the item may be exchanged within 14 days for a different style.
• All Made to Order jewellery is non-exchangeable and non-refundable, so proposing with an in-stock ring or diamond gives you much more flexibility. If you intend to exchange a proposal ring, please note that it must be returned in an unworn state.
• You don't need to know your partner's ring size to propose with this option. In-stock rings are made in the most popular sizes. This option suits last-minute proposals where you accept that the ring is unlikely to be a fit (but that's fine because you intend to exchange it).
• If you choose a diamond to propose with instead, then your fiancé can help design their ring after the proposal.

2. FLEXIBLE COMMITMENT: PLACEHOLDER RING
Overview
• Recommended if you're planning a surprise proposal and feel unsure of the style of ring/stone your future fiancé would prefer.
• A placeholder ring can be a band from my existing collection.
• Bands with small diamonds or low cost stones are also a popular choice for placeholder rings.
Please get in touch to discuss bespoke options.
Details
• A placeholder ring is often kept for sentimental reasons, and it might be worn alongside the official engagement ring (which the couple choose together after the proposal).
• A placeholder ring is a flexible choice, however you will need to know your partner's ring size.

3. ULTIMATE COMMITMENT: CUSTOM & BESPOKE
Overview
• Recommended if you know your partner's ring size and their style preference.
• Recommended if you have inherited some jewellery you would like remodelled.
• This option is also suitable if you're not planning a surprise proposal, and wish to go straight to the design process together.
Details
• Any piece in my existing collection can be customised with a different stone or precious metal. For example, you may want me to source an emerald for an engagement ring style you've seen on the website.
• A bespoke item refers to a completely unique piece, for example something similar to designs you might've seen online, or something totally new, within the aesthetic of my work.
